Schrodinger's Cat Experiment

Schrodinger's Cat Experiment
As a quick reminder quantum mechanics is filled with crazy concepts: from particles being in various places at
the same time to instant teleportation and communication.
Still these effects only occur at a subatomic scale therefore we never experience them in our daily lives
However this thought experiment (no actual cats were tortured) demonstrates how in theory QM should extend to macro objects like cats. The experiment goes like this: imagine you have a box with an atom and a cat, if this atom decays it will release poison; killing
But as we know small things like atoms experience quantum superposition, which means that the atom will be in both states at the same time (decayed and not decayed). But if the atom is in both states then the poison should also be released and not released, and the cat dead and alive at the same.
